The Sails

The Sails project is located in Port Everglades south of 17th Street Causeway in the City of Fort Lauderdale.  The proposed project is a five star hotel, 176 slip dry stack, 10 slip megayacht marina, and five story retail and office building.
The Chappell Group, Inc. provided and is still providing all environmental services for the marina development and dry stack.  As required by permitting agencies, The Chappell Group provided permitting services for the marina with design assistance from BK Marine Construction, Inc.  Because of the complexity and phasing of the project, The Chappell Group was able to work with the Client and the agencies to issue permits for four separate phases of the project and in line with the Client’s timeline for completion.  Environmental Permits were obtained from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, and Broward County Environmental Protection Department.
